Cornell Barbecue

This is the famous barbecue sauce created at Cornell University's Farm Home Extension in the 1950's.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes Yield: Makes about 3 1/3 cups
Ingredients:
?2 cups vinegar
?1 cup oil
?1 egg
?3 tablespoons salt
?1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
?black pepper to taste
Preparation:
Put Ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Marinate chicken in sauce for at least 1-2 hours (overnight is good), baste while cooking.

You can leave the chicken in for up to 3 days. This is good for pork chops or other meat, too.

I've tried many many types of marinades that you can find at Wal-mart and Food Lion. The only marinade I really love to use when grilling chicken is World Harbor's Italian Grill. It's a clear rectangular bottle with a green cap and label. Here's the link to their site so you can see a picture and know what you're looking for : http://www.mizkan.com/Brands/WorldHarbor…

If you're looking for a rub, I know of a beyond AMAZING rub recipe that makes your chicken taste even better than routisserie chicken because it's fresh and not sitting around in grease for hours. I've personally only used this on whole chickens (about $4 at walmart.) It sounds like you're using chicken breasts if you're looking for a marinade, but this is a recipe you may want to try in the future just because everyone who's human absolutely loves it. If you really wanted to, I'm sure you could use this rub on chicken breast as well, I've just never personally tried it. This recipe also uses mostly spices that you'll have if you have a spice rack and if you don't have one spice like white pepper which never comes in a spice rack, don't worry. I've made it without some spices and it's still great. Here's the recipe link: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Roast-Stick…
Note: Despite the directions, I cook mine at 400 degrees F and for about 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours. I also use a Pampered Chef Stone to cook mine, but if you don't have one, just use a baking pan with tin foil over it!

Hope you like your chicken!! :)

Try this. take a chicken brest. cover in a little olive oil, garlic and a pinch salt/pepper. bake till almost done. remove from oven, coat with quality pesto like Basiltops (basiltops.com) and then cover with provolone cheese. return to oven and finish baking(2-3 mins or untill cheese melts)
really good

Cranberry juice, chipotle pepper puree, small amount balsamic vinegar, merlot, olive oil, onion, a little salt, a little black pepper, a little chopped or minced garlic.

Done this a few times, don't have exact measurments, but go light on the chipotle pepper and the balsamic vinegar.

All the answers are great. Here's one you're not gonna believe ...
Plain old yellow mustard!
Marinate for a couple hours then bake, broil, or BBQ. You'll be surprised!

homemade or store bought Italian dressing works great on chicken grilled or baked and use leftovers in a salad.

Italian, French, or California dressing.
