Imperial to metric problem?!

Question: Imperial to metric problem?
When I make jam I add 1lb of sugar to each 1lb of fruit, or 1kg to 1 kg, easy to remember

To make jelly I use 1lb of sugar to each pint of fruit juice. What I want to know is, if using just metric measures, how much juice and sugar should I use to make jelly

800 grammes of sugar to a litre of juice. (The exact equivalent is 783 grammes, but I bet your scales aren't that accurate)

1lb = 454g = 0.454kg
1kg = 2.2lb
1 pint = 536ml = 0.536litre

so if you want to convert to kg of sugar you need to multiply by 2.2, so 2.2 pints = 1.18litres

therefore either use
a) 1kg of sugar to 1.18 litre of juice
or
b) 850g of sugar to 1 litre of juice [probably easier to measure out]

[as 1kg / 1.18 = 848g]
