Pot roast in the crock pot, how much broth?!

Question: Pot roast in the crock pot, how much broth?
I have had my pot roast in the crock pot for about 5 hours now. I thought you only needed about 1 1/2 cups of water for broth in it. For some reason my fiance added more water too it, and now its covering the entire pot roast. Is that okay? Will that make it more tender or will that make it worse on getting tender? Please answer because im not sure. First time making it. Thanks!

Answers:

It won't affect the tenderness either way.
For future reference, crock pots are a very moisture friendly cooking environment. A half cup to one cup should be all the liquid you need.

It's amazing! I find this for you. http://yourcares.info/47972/crock-pots

When I cook anything in the crock pot..I let it cook for a while first to see how much liquid is generated by the meat and the moisture of the cooking process..

At the most 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup...

Good luck...........

Don't worry, it will be great.
