Why do u have to flip buns after u take them out of the oven?!


Question: Why do u have to flip buns after u take them out of the oven?
Why when baking do u have to flip the buns over after they come out of the oven? It dents the tops of the buns.

you don't have to. you can put them on a wire rack to cool instead. it's just to let the heat/steam out.



I've baked bread/buns etc for many years and have never flipped them over. What kind of recipe are you using that asks you to do that?



Hmm. Maybe to keep the bottoms from burning if left on the hot baking pan? Not sure of any other possible reason. As suggested above, seems like a wire rack could be used to cool them on instead.



Its like going to the beach to get a tan. The heat is only coming from one direction.
