Starburst cake recipe?!

Question: Starburst cake recipe?
My friend loves Starbursts and I'm making her a cake for her birthday and need some ideas for a Starburst cake? I don't need any suggestions for just putting starbursts on top of the cake either, that's obvious.

Answers:

What if you chopped up the Starbursts and put them into your cake batter, like confetti cake with Starbursts. Or you could melt the Starbursts and mix it in with vanilla or cream cheese icing... not sure if that would work but it would be cool if it did!

You can make from scratch or get fruit flavored cake mixes: Lemon, strawberry or cherry. Add extra food coloring to make the colors fun. I would try swirling the colors together to get a tie dye effect. Not too much mixing or it will all blend. Google pictures of tie dye cake.

I like to roll them out (on waxed paper with a rolling pin) and use mini cookie cutters to make shapes to decorate my frosted cupcakes. Easy, but looks really cute!
If you don't have the little bitty cutters you could still roll them out and cut them with a knife into whatever shapes you like. Hearts, stars, spell out the letters of her name.
Hope it turns out well!!

Use an Angel food mix and add different flavor Jellos and small cans of fruit. I have only made an orange cake doing this but it should work if you use other jello mixes.

dice the storburst into small chunks so its kind of like strburst chips and mix it in the cake batter. add chunks of starburst in the frosting as well
