Is it okay to use expired sour cream?!
I just want to know if it is okay to eat the coffee cake without getting sick from the expired sour cream?

You shouldn't really eat expired sour cream espically if its that old!
You can usually be safe if it has remained sealed and is in the refrigerator for up to a month after the expiration date. I would avoid if you smell anything unusual, can see any mold growth, or if dried and cracked.
If you doend up getting sick.. Gingerale and some bread will get rid of the aches inyour stomach

You're probably safe and ok with your sour cream. You'll know it's truly bad when it not only has a foul smell, but it will have a yellowish discoloration. The water stirred into it is always apparent even when it's fresh, so you seem to be ok.
Sour cream an last quite a while. The seperation is not an issue.
As long as there is no mold and it smells/tatses fine it is fine to use.
The sour cream was SOUR when you purchased it ,,, it will last for a very long time as long as there is no mold on it it is fine to use.
