Question: Simple recipe for mac and cheese?
I want a simple recipe for mac and cheese (four cheese if poss)

Melt 6 tblsp butter on the stove top in a sauce pan
(i like to add minced onion to it right at this step)
once butter is melted mix in 7 tblsp flour, mix so you have a paste
heat should be add med high, now add in 1-1/2 cups milk
stir it up, let sit, stir it, in about 5 minutes you should have a thick white sauce
now add in about 2 cups of cheese.
VOILA!
I like to add salt, pepper, dry mustard, cayenne and franks red hot!

You will be eating mac and cheese in 20 minutes!

Stove Top Mac and Cheese

1/2 pound elbow macaroni
4 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
6 ounces evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Fresh black pepper
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
10 ounces sharp cheddar, shredded


In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the pasta to al dente and drain. Return to the pot and melt in the butter. Toss to coat.

Whisk together the eggs, milk, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and mustard. Stir into the pasta and add the cheese. Over low heat continue to stir for 3 minutes or until creamy.



250g/9oz macaroni
40g/1?oz butter
40g/1? plain flour
600ml/1pint 1?fl oz milk
250g/9oz grated cheddar
50g/2oz grated parmesan


Cook the macaroni in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes; drain well and set aside.
Melt the butter over a medium heat in a saucepan slightly larger than that used for the macaroni. Add the flour and stir to form a roux, cooking for a few minutes.
Gradually whisk in the milk, a little at a time. Cook for 10-15 minutes to a thickened and smooth sauce.
Meanwhile, preheat the grill to hot.
Remove the sauce from the hob, add 175g/6oz of the cheese and stir until the cheese is well combined and melted.
Add the macaroni to the sauce and mix well. Transfer to a deep suitably-sized ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle over the remaining cheddar and the parmesan and place the dish under the hot grill. Cook until the cheese is browned and bubbling. Serve straightaway.

2 cups 4 of your favorite cheeses

boil ur noodles untill soft
melt your cheeses and half/half to make a some what thick soft
pour over ur noodles sprinkle PLAIN bread crumbs and shreaded cheese of ur choice, and bake untill cheese on top is melted

My mom makes the best home made Mac and cheese! She gets velveeta, little shells and garlic bread. She melts the velveeta and puts the shells in then bakes it in the oven until the garlic bread toasts. :)
