Is there anything I can do with REALLY salty bacon?!

Question: Is there anything I can do with REALLY salty bacon?
I cooked bacon for breakfast this morning and it is very salty. Too salty to eat, I'm debating on whether to throw it away. Is there anything I can do for it not to be wasted? I don't like to waste food. Thanks!

Soak it in milk.

Yeah, good for you not wasting food. It's totally salvagable. Here's 2 ideas of how to use up crumbled bacon:

-"Pasta entree": Toss it with hot cooked plain pasta, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, sea salt, fresh cracked pepper and crushed red chili flakes. Serve with salad, crusty bread, good wine and your good to go for another meal.

-"Bacon Fried Rice": My mom's been making this for years and she never makes enough...it's always gone before ya know it! All you do is take some (cooled) precooked rice and set it aside. Leftover white rice is best to use for making fried rice because it's slightly dry. Heat up the bacon in a large pot with chopped green onions, veg. or peanut oil, minced garlic, 1 C. mixed frozen vegetables (peas/carrots that have been thawed), 1 C. of diced egg (omlet). When everything's heated through add in 4-6 C. cooked rice (if it's crumbled, just use your hand to break it up over the pot), toasted sesame oil and soy sauce. Heat through until it's piping hot & serve.

I'm a personal chef. I love all things BACON! I love bacon with a bacon chaser! haha

my family doesnt like to waste food either! so what i would suggest to do is if it is washable then wash it off (like the saltiness) and then you could eat it alone, put it on a homemade hamburger. the possibilities are endless! if it doesnt wash off thenn i suggest mix it in with a food that would taste good with bacon and needs salt, then just put in the bacon and dont add in any extra salt. (unless you nees to) hope that helps!

Good Luck!
God Bless!

soak it and let the water take out some of the salt. Use it in a dish with potatoes. Potatoes suck up a lot of salt and as the potatoes gets done the starch gets sweeter and so it balances the salt flavor.
If you ever has a sauce or a soup that is to salt, add sliced potatoes and with a little boil potatoes take up a lot of salt. Remove them and serve.

Soak soem dried beans and cook them up. When they are alsomost tender add the salty bacon and onions, seassonings etc.. but NO salt siimer until tender. Adjust seasonings as needed.

twice baked potatoes

cook it with some dry beans & veggies to make chili from the scratch...a crockpot comes in handy here.

run some water over it.
