What should I make for this party?!
Answers:
Mini cheesecakes are a must at all of our parties.
Ingredients
24 vanilla wafer cookies
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 (12 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Line 24 muffin cups with paper or foil baking liners. Place one vanilla wafer in each cup.
In large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the nutmeg and vanilla. Pour mixture evenly into prepared muffin cups, filling each 2/3 full. Bake for 20 minutes or until set. Cool completely, then top with cherry pie filling. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

You'll want some substantial food if people are drinking. They'll be hungry and it will help prevent them from getting super drunk and sick.
- Put out some cheese, salami or pepperoni and crackers
- Tacos can be an easy and substantial thing to have for a party. If you have a slow cooker, keep the taco meat warm in it. Have taco shells or tortillas and all the toppings handy throughout the night.
- Another slow cooker alternative would be bbq pulled pork, with sandwich buns.
- Frozen taquitos are tasty and super easy to heat up in the oven, and not that expensive. Serve with salsa. They are also pretty good when they are not piping hot (important for a party).
- If the party runs into late night, ordering a few pizzas or baking some frozen ones is great.
- Sandwich stuff. Cold cuts, sandwich rolls, mustard/mayo, etc. Be careful how long this stuff sits out though.
Remember, the more people drink, the more they need substantial food.
Spray a bunch of corn tortillas with Pam canola oil spray and bake them until they are stiff. Cut up a bunch of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, black olives, shred a bowl of cheese (or buy it pre-shredded), fry up some ground beef and chopped chicken, put out a container of sour cream and a bottle of hot sauce...Presto! Tostadas.
Some nice cold trays are great and easy to do ahead. Cut up cheese, cut up coldcuts and some nice rolls, cold veges and dip. People love little things they can make a plate of and snack on.
