If you still have the tin. Take it back to the store where it was purchased.
Look on the label of the tin and see if there is a phone number to complain to.
If there is a company name on the tin, try to find it on your search engine on the computer to complain.
#1 would be the easiest.
If these do not get results, write a letter to your local newspaper food section and tell your story to the food editor.
Call the company that produced the product the 1-800 number should be on the can somewhere.
Tell them what happened. They will most likely send you a coupon for a "get on free" of that band or another sister brand of thiers.
If you don't want that they can usually sut you a chec for that amount. Small as it may be.
While it is rustrating if it has only happened once andit is something as small an insignificicant as a roc, relaize it is Mass produced. A small rock is not a problem. Now if you found a rodent, insects, fingers etc....in there then I would recomend never biyuing that product again.
you should tell the manufacturer and they'll probably offer a replacement and/or some coupons.
finding a stone in a can of vegetables that grew in dirt which contains stones is just a natural occurrence. if someone broke a tooth trying to eat the vegetable, you might have a case. if you found a man made object and especially if it caused an injury, that would be a whole different story,
ask for a refund in the shop you bought it in , then you can send a letter to the address underneath the labels or something ...
my friend found 2 malteasers stuck together, she complained and i think she got a whole bucket load of it back
Contact the food hygiene department of your local council, they will come and collect the evidence and start a case on it with the manufacturers.
Used to work in the food hygiene department of my local council
Tell the company about it.
definatly complain to whoever made it. if a stone can get into the tin, who knows what else can
Its a prize and you're A WINNER, WELL DONE!:-)
