Are you deep frying or like instant frying in your oven?

Deep frying: Use Vegetable oil.
If you are frying in the oven place chopped potatoes in on a baking diash and coat with olive oil and s&p

frying in the oven is much healthier and trust me tastes amazing

experience

you ccan use olive oil if you want your potatoes to taste like olives.

I always use 100% pure VEGETABLE OIL

olive oil is a fruit oil and has a very distinctive odor and flavor.

If you're so health conscious, then I'll advise you to use olive oil. Otherwise, canola or vegetable would be perfectly fine.

a tasteless oil eg sunflower or ground nut
Not olive oil (especially not extra virgin), mainly because it is more expensive i think and a bit wasteful

Oil is oil as far *** health goes when you are frying.

I use veggie oil as it is cheap. Sometimes I also add in a bit of crisco.
