Go to youtube.com and the search bar type in how to make a 3 tiered cake and watch the videos most are only a few minutes long and you will get lots of Information ,they show exactly how it is done Be very careful about fillings between layers it tends to make the layers slide so go easy on the filling spread it thinly and do not go all the way to the edges or it will "bleed" thru For strawberry filling and other fillings, go to allrecipes.com and type in cake filling also go to cooks.com type in strawberry cake filling These are the 2 top recipes sites you will love them Your cake is going to be Fantastic!

You absolutely need dowels and boards in the cake. Not only for support, but because it's impossible to cut and serve a tiered cake with no boards.

I'd skip the strawberry filling, if this is your first tiered cake and your first topsy turvy. Use strawberry-flavored buttercream if you want.
