Cost of ingredient divided by the amount of servings in a package.
Multplied by the amount of "servings" used in a recipe.
Add all recipe items together.
Divide my amount of servings.

beginning inventory(which is last months ending inventory count for food)+purchases( all of your invoices for food only)-ending inventory = usage

usage/sales gives you food cost or any cost you want to apply to this formula

"cost per dish = cost of total usages divided by number of total dish"

add up the cost of all the ingredients
divide by the number of servings the recipe makes
equals the cost per serving
