Best New-York style cheesecake?!

Question: Best New-York style cheesecake?
I have been looking some up but most of the ones i find ask for 4 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, will it make a difference if i just add two? Or is there any recipes you would like to share with me?

Answers:

Use the recipe that call for the 4 packages. If you use only 2 packages then the cheesecake will be half as high as it should be and you will have used too many eggs and the other ingredients. If you insist on only using 2 packages then adapt the recipe(grade 6 math skills) and make it in a smaller pan. Then you can call it NOT NY cheese cake but your own!

You won't find a New York style cheesecake with just 2 packages of cream cheese. Too, you can't use the recipe you have an eliminate 16 ounces of cream cheese.

Philadelphia brand cream cheese has a nice recipe for regular cheesecake on the box that uses 2 8 ounce packages of cream cheese.

2 (8 ounce) packages Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 prepared graham cracker crumb crust (6 ounces or 9 inches)

Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; mix until blended.

Pour into crust.

Bake at 350 F for 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.

Makes 8 servings
