fondant; its simply marshmallows and icing sugar mixed together

i would recommend using modeling chocolate if your going into really detail, if not then use fondant.

You can use fondant to make your decorations unless parts need to be stiff enough to stand up like large loops of a bow, etc. If this is the case, you will need to use gum paste and be sure to allow time for hardening!

Fondant Or Modeling Chocolate. Also I Would Recommend Using Cereal Treats Instead Of Cake As Its More Easy To Handle With.

Personal Experience

I think gelatinous sweeteners will help you to put that , but its no use, unless you do it to take a snap for a while.

Fondant isn't a stretchy as gum paste/petal paste so I'd suggest that

Lots of cake decorating experience
