Basically it's an appliance that provides you with a powerful motor , with interchangable attachments for different tasks: blender, shredder, slicer, small bowl processor, mixer, meat grinder , ice cream maker, etc...
Its so you don't have to buy 7 elec equipments, just attachments to the one base.
Some processors only have 1 attachment and can run $19.99
Mine costed $200. plus $50 for the meat grinder.
Stick to a major name like kitchen aid and it should last a long time.

A small kitchen appliance that can do multiple things. Mine shreds, chops, slices and blends, just to name a few. They can range in price from cheap to expensive depending on which one you get.
