I forgot half of the yeast in my King cake dough. Will it make a big difference?!
The dough is rising now, but I don't want to make the filling if I'm just going to have to start over

It will take twice the time to rise, also will result in a very dence dough. The salt content and sugar content will be off, becuase the other half of the yeast was not present to consume the salt and sugar durring the production carbon dioxide.
