White sauce and mayonnaise are 2 different things.
White sauce is made from butter flour and milk plus seasoning and cheese if you are using it for a lasagna.
Mayonnaise is egg, oil and vinegar.
A white sauce recipe I use is:
1oz butter- melt into a pan
1oz flour- mix into the butter for about a minute
1 pint milk- take the pan off the heat and slowly mix the milk into the flour and butter until it is smooth then return to the heat and simmer for about 8 minutes adding seasoning, you need to keep stirring it so it doesn't stick

this one has no mayonnaise, but is good and easy.
1 Tbs butter (or grease)
1 Tbs regular flour.
Mix to roe and cook slightly
Add slowly 1 cup milk and beat with wisk until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
