temperature while baking cakes in borosil ..?!


Question: Temperature while baking cakes in borosil ..?
I'm a starter in making cakes & i did fine in a tin, but when i tried baking in borosil it wasn't totally baked till middle & it came out rock hard.so i was thinking that there must be a temperature mistake coz i failed twice.what temperature do i fix in the oven to bake a cake in borosil.

someone please help....

Answers:

You should not notice much of a difference between the metal and glass pans, especially if you are using the same recipe.
Try checking your oven temperature and make sure it is calibrated correctly. Get a good quality digital oven thermometer, install it in your oven, and set the oven to 350 degrees F. When the oven indicates it is at the proper temperature, check the reading on the thermometer.

Always be sure to preheat your oven (usually 350°F/180° C for cakes) and place cake on center shelf.
