3 Types of Apple Pie all start with this basic apple mix:
5-6 medium apples, i like 3 tart (like Granny Smith) & 3 sweet (like Delicious or Macintosh)
1/4 c all purpose flour
1/4 c white sugar
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t ground ginger or allspice (depending on what you like better)
Take your pie crust out of the freezer, then peel, core & slice all the apples about 1/3-1/2" thick & toss with all other ingredients in a large bowl. Set it aside. Poke a fork up the sides of, & across the bottom of, your pie shell & pour your apple mix in. Don't worry - apples cook down so it should be piled high.
Apple Pie #1 - Dutch Crumb
Mix together:
1/4 c all purpose flour
1/4 c white sugar
1/2 c brown sugar, packed
1/2 t salt
3 T melted butter
1/2 c chopped nuts (optional)
Sprinkle mix generously over the top of your apple-filled pie. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 30-40 mins, or til bubbly & browned.

Apple Pie #2 - Gingersnap Crunch
Mix together:
2 sleeves gingersnap cookies (about 2 cups when crushed)
3 T melted butter
Sprinkle mix generously over the top of your apple-filled pie. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 30-40 mins, or til bubbly & browned.

Apple Pie #3 - Pecan Caramel Turtle
Mix together:
1 c finely chopped pecans
1/2 t salt
1/2 c rolled oats
2 T melted butter
Sprinkle mix generously over the top of your apple-filled pie. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 30-40 mins, or til bubbly & browned. Once pie is finished, melt 2 caramel-filled candy bars (i like Caramello) in a microwave safe bowl, in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, til smooth. Drizzle over warm pie, let cool & serve.

Ingredients
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer.
2.Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off.
3.Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft.

Ingredients
6 cups thinly sliced apples
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
Directions
1.Prepare your pastry for a two crust pie. Wipe, quarter, core, peel, and slice apples; measure to 6 cups.
2.Combine sugar and cinnamon. The amount of sugar used depends on how tart your apples are.
3.Arrange apples in layers in pastry lined pie plate. Sprinkle each layer with sugar and cinnamon. Dot top layer with small pieces of butter or margarine. Cover with top crust.
4.Place on lowest rack in oven preheated to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake for 30 to 35 minutes longer. Serve warm or cold.

INGREDIENTS:
1 PATE BRISEE PIE CRUST ROLLED INTO 12-INCH CIRCLE (DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT CIRCLE, DON’T WORRY ABOUT RAGGED EDGES).
**You can use store bought crust, just follow directions for shaping.
1 LARGE APPLE PEELED, CORED AND SLICED THIN
3 MED. PEARS PEELED, CORED AND SLICED THIN
2 T. BROWN SUGAR OR SPLENDA BROWN SUGAR
2 T. SUGAR OR SPLENDA
1 T. FLOUR

? T. NUTMEG
? T. ALLSPICE
SMALL PINCH SALT

DIRECTIONS:
MIX ALL INGREDIENTS WELL.
PLACE PIE CRUST ON REGULAR COOKIE SHEET (NO AIR BAKE SHEETS)
POUR FRUIT MIXTURE IN CENTER AND START PINCHING UP AROUND FRUIT TO FORM A FREE STANDING PIE CRUST.
BAKE 45 MIN. @ 400 DEGREES (IF CRUST STARTS TO GET TOO BROWN REDUCE HEAT TO 350 DEGREES UNTIL DONE.
Get some granny smith appples, and cut them into thin pieces and you mix them with white sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon. I never use measuring cups, but I'd have to guess its at least 1 cup of each of the sugars, and the cinnamon maybe a teaspoon ful or two. Just put enough in to evenly coat every apple evenly.
Throw the crust in the trash. Using butter, flour, salt and ice water mix your own flaky dough for a crust. Peel, core, and slice 5 golden delicious apples. Not Granny Smiths, they are too tart. Add 1/2 cup sugar to apples 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Arrange apples in bottom crust, dot with butter, cover with top crust with a hole cut out of the center, I use a pastry tip. Roll edge and flute, Brush crust with milk, pop in freezer for 15 minutes and then into 350 oven for an hour or until center bubbles. Let cool and enjoy.

i made one on thanksgiving it was amazing(: all you do is cut up apples and mix them in a bowl with sugar
(make sure the apples are nice and moist) then put them in the pie crust. once your done that put the upper layer of pie on top poke holes in it then oven im not sure for how long but trust me its amazinng
