Question: What are some great cook books?
I like kids cook books(heh) to
what are some not so expensive cook books you really enjoy?
I would like it to include
baking(like stuff you find in a bakery)
Breakfast foods
Other culture foods
and just anything cool!

All Around the World Cookbook by Shelagh Lukins is full of all sorts of recipes, all of which work, and they talk about techniques and ingredients and history. all the recipes work

Moosewood Cookbook by Mollie Katzen is a vegetarian cookbook with lots of great hand drawn illustrations and ingredients that you can fine everywhere. All the recipes work.

Joy of Cooking - by Rombauer/Becker is like a history book as well as a great cookbook for beginners as it talks about techniques, portions, serving, foods, and all the recipes work.

Creative Cooking by Readers Digest has wonderful pictures and great recipes and has the chapters in the months of the year so it shows you what is in season and what to do with it. Nice illustrations too.
Look for cookbooks in second hand bookstores. They are a goldmine of good books.
