Does Cool Whip stay solid?!

Question: Does Cool Whip stay solid?

I've never used Cool Whip before, and I was wondering if it stays solid. I'm planning to make cupcakes and would like to use it as decoration, but I need to know whether it will stay as whipped cream or turn liquidy after taken out of the fridge for a minute (like Reddi-wip).

Put it on right before you serve the cup cakes, even in the fridge it loses solidity.

Once it comes to room temp it gets soft....I made a pie with it over the weekend... I had to keep it frozen...
