I wouldn't know. I've had pancakes once.
With lemon and sugar.
But I think golden syrup or maple syrup works well.
And chocolate sauce/spread.

in a separate bowl melt some jam (preferably rasberry or strawberry)
spread over melted peanut butter then swirl in warm runny jam!
