How to improve my hamburger recipe ?!
Raw onions
Lettuce
Tomato
Pickles
Ketchup
Mustard
----------------
Are the things I use to make it.
----------------
Below are the ingredients I use in my hamburger patty.
Ketchup
Worcestershire Sauce
Salt
Black Pepper
White Pepper
Garlic Powder (Not sure if this ones good though)
These peppers did made the patty smell spicy and the milk made it juicy.
But since I put ketchup and mustard I could barely smell or taste the spices. Is it really
worth adding salt and peppers ? And I always cook well done. I think I cooked until the juice
just came all out and get all dried. But if I eat it cooking light, it doesn't taste like hamburger meat
although it's juicy.
------------
Sometimes I even add milk and also tried adding chopped onions and using egg. But again
I could barely taste the onions.
So after all the spices and fancy new way to add bacons and chopped onions with egg is kind of
a waste and stupid work. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong ?
------------
I also tried wrapping bacon around the side.
But the I couldn't really taste the bacon when I was eating the burger. I used thin bacon which was thin as sliced ham for sandwiches.
All I could think of is to add slice of cheese and use more bacons ?
Answers:
Hmm. . . leave the ketchup to your bun, leave the Egg, Milk & Breadcrumbs to your meatloaf.
Your spices should compliment your burger. If it's fresh, it'll taste better!
My Hamburger patties consist of:
Ground Meat (Beef, Turkey, Elk, or Buffalo)
Worcestershire Sauce
Hot Sauce
Hickory Smoke liquid (just a drop or two)
Minced Garlic (USE Fresh and mince it finely!)
Diced Onion
Sea Salt
Black Pepper
White Pepper
Optional: Good Hoppy Beer (just a splash or two to add moistness, then drink the rest - and NO Light Beer)
Mix all Ingredients, Form LARGE patties, put on Parchment paper, cover and CHILL until use (or at least for 30 minutes).
For condiments, I'd have THINLY sliced onion (or not), romaine lettuce (or get a spicy lettuce), Fresh beefsteak tomato, and leave off the mustard and ketchup. Put the pickle on the side to munch on. Use a Sharp Cheddar and Thick cut bacon (remove end fat).
I'd use a chipotle mayo and forgo the other condiments. (I make my own)
Don't cook it well done, cook it till the juices run clear and then let it rest for a few minutes.
Everywhere I've made these, I never had leftovers!
i use a product called Weber Gourmet Burger Seasonings
its main ingredients is dried worchester sauce, garlic, onion, parsley, and a few others
the nice thing, because its a dry product, you can add it and not worry about your burgers falling apart like they can from moist products... and the burgers taste amazing
That sounds awesome but i would use fresh garlic instead of dried definitely......think about adding a nice smoked cheddar cheese on that like a hickory smoked cheddar it would be awesome if you like a spicy kick throw in a couple of jalopenos!!!
YOU ROCK!! Awesome recipe you have there!!!
I use half a clove and it is fantastic
All you're missing is Miracle Whip...add that to the bun, you'll have an excellent burger.
Add a little MSG!
This is the ingredients for my homemade burgers...these are better than any fast food joint:
Ground beef
Put in about 1/2 cup of fresh grated Parmesan cheese MUST BE FRESH not the stuff in the can
Salt and pepper
1 tsp of mustard
1 tsp of worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup of oatmeal
1 egg
Mix together and grill...I promise you will not be disappointed they are so good and juicy
I usually add a slice of bacon, mayo, ketchup and condiments of choice with a tomato and slice of cheese there are so many varieties I like to experiment. Great. now I'm hungry....Bon appetite!
