Do I HAVE to chew up the white part of the egg or...?!

Question: Do I HAVE to chew up the white part of the egg or...?
Can I just swallow it for the nutrients? I hate the smell and taste of it!!

Answers:

You will get nutrients without chewing, but there is a greater chance of some of it just passing through as waste since the teeth are supposed to do most of the mechanical digestion. The main risk in not chewing is that even something soft like egg can pose a serious choking hazard if not properly chewed.

No, you don't. The yolk has nutirents. THe white is very hard to handle for some people. it's like eyeball or something, it's solid white and rubbery,,,,gross. Just chuck it if you want.

Eat it the mastication process is very beneficial in aiding digestion.

Chewing is not required, just be careful not to choke! ;-)

Life's too short to eat things you don't like. Eat something else.
