Can i bake cookies in a silicone mold to give them shape?!

Question: Can i bake cookies in a silicone mold to give them shape?
Okay so I want to make some super nice cookies (like the ones that are chewy in the middle like the shop bought fresh ones). I want to make them heart shaped but can't use a cookie cutter as the mixture spreads as baking on the cookie sheet.

My idea was to contain them in this silicone cupcake mold:

Will it work? Thanks :)

I make cookies like that all the time. I prefer cooking in silicon than traditional metal cookie sheets.

To make the cookies you are referring to I don;t think those molds will do the trick however you can make something else with those molds. You can make cookie cups with the mold.

You can put cookie dough in the molds. once the cookies are ightly brown around the edges you can take them out of the oven. Then use a spoon or tip of a wooden spoon press down the middle of the cookie.. let them cool in the fridge, and remove them from the mold. you can top them with icecream, or whipped cream, or fruit etc. The possibilities are endless.

no that would be too deep they wouldn't bake right. they would burn before cooking all the way, your best bet is to get a heart shape cookie cutter.

edit: unless you only fill them to a certain point you would have to test a few out.

yes i made christmas cookies like that. As long as the silicone can be in an oven
