What are some nice things to add to cookie dough other than nuts?!

Question: What are some nice things to add to cookie dough other than nuts?
e.g. choco chips, butterscotch pieces...

I have a recipe which calls for 50g pecans but my housemate is allergic to nuts! I am making orange chocolate chunk cookies so anything that you think would go well with it.

Thanks :D

Answers:

Dried cranberries would go well with the orange. I can never say no to chocolate chips though.

RAISINS,CHOPPED PEANUTS,CINNAMON,CUT CHERRIES OR STRAWBERRYS in fours or forths !?! and add to batter or mix !?! or a few spoons of your favorite jelly straight from the jar !?! But then you might need to add more flour to try & make the dough more firm !?! I've tried many different things asfar as the baking dough is concerned!! a.k.a EXPERIMENTING!"?"! but this was mainly back in the mid to late 1980's !?! Well one of the girl friends I had also liked when we would do things together like cook & _or_ bake things !!! COOKIES,CAKES & PIZZA was some of our favorite things to do together !!! .,.

I got ALOT of practice doing this !! mostly in a few summers in the 80's .,. HAVE FUN !!! r"R"r;a;wWwrRr`,'.

Tobacco. We make these:

Chewbaccys

1 cup of molasses
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 cup of instant oatmeal
1/2 cup brown sugar
Tobacco from 10 cigarettes
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
2 regular size eggs
1 bag bittersweet chocolate chips
1/4 stick salted butter

Mix ingredients until blended well. Chill for 2 hours before doling out onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 mins or until lightly brown

If you take some oatmeal & brown it in the oven it produces an artificial nutty flavor; plus, there are all types of dehydrated fruits from oranges, bananas, raisins, cranberries, cherries, pineapple; perhaps you may even be able to chop up different types of fruit leather with flavors of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, etc. & add it to your mix.

Chocolate chips or m&ms. Chocolate chips are probably easier. Also, you can put cocoa powder in cookies to turn them chocolate. Yum!

coconuts or chunky chocolate chips! Be creative and have fun! Peace, Love, and Smiles
