Why can't I open the finger between my middle finger and my baby finger on my right hand?!

Question: Why can't I open the finger between my middle finger and my baby finger on my right hand?
So, I make a fist of my right hand and then open each finger (and thumb) one by one starting at the thumb but when I get to the finger after the middle finger (the FU finger) and before the baby finger that one simply won't open (lift up) I cannot lift it - not even a tiny bit, can't move it all all? I can open the baby finger next to it though. Aren't your fingers controlled by your brain or "something" like that? Can you do it? No such problem on my left hand. Sounds weird I know, lol.

Answers:

Nerve damage. You should see a doctor about it. It might be a symptom of a more serious problem.

that is known as your ring finger for starters.

And I can move mine just fine independently for the most part. there is a point where your tendons just don't let you, but you should be able to raise your finger on it's own. And yeah, your fingers are controlled by your brain "or something like that"

just checking, but are you sure you're not high?

Duh! That happens with everyone. Ask anyone to do it, they can't. Everybody cannot lift their ring finger up from making a fist, and I bet you can't on your left hand too.

LMAO i just tried and i cant do it on my left hand weird...

i think it is probably because you are left handed
