I've defrosted chicken liver pate (with no pork fat) and it's turned to mush?!

Question: I've defrosted chicken liver pate (with no pork fat) and it's turned to mush?
It's a horrible texture. Can I still use it to cook with ?

Answers:

Must have had a high water content to do that with it. Was it an item that would freeze anyway?

You could use it as a flavouring but nothing that needs mass. But if it should not have been frozen I would not cook with it.
