A very easy on is to make a tart case cover the inside base with Jam, then top it off with custard, put it in the fridge until set, then eat.

Chocolate Mousse Torte

divided 4 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate,
divided 2 pkg. (3.9 oz. each) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding

divided 1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed,
divided 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
STAND 16 wafers around inside edge of 9-inch round pan lined with plastic wrap.
Melt 3 chocolate squares as directed on package.

2BEAT pudding mixes and 2 cups milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Add melted chocolate; mix well. Stir in 1 cup COOL WHIP; pour into prepared pan.

Roll it out into a long oblong, roll some sausage meat into a long thin sausage to fit the pastry, smear some mustard along one side of the pastry, dampen along the edge of the other side, roll it up into a long pastry covered sausage, brush with beaten egg or milk, cut into the lengths you want.with a sharp knife make a couple of slits in the top of each sausage roll and put on a greased baking tray and cook in a pre-heated oven on gas 6 for about 20 minutes or until they are a nice golden brown.
(All this is assuming it isn,t sweet pastry! in which case I might have been wasting time for both of us!!)

You can make savory pastries. If you have any left over meatloaf, chicken or veggies, just spice it up with some cumin, coriander and fresh chopped cilantro or parsley, then stuff the pastry, fold over like a turnover closing the sides and bake as required. So delicious and savory.

you can make mini-quiche? cheese, ham, onion. Short crust pastry is usually used. Or Apple turnovers? cut a square of pastry and put apple in half a side of it. Fold over to make a triangle, cover with sugar and bake. Puff pastry is usually used.
You could make sausage rolls, if you have sausage meat. Be adventerous, use your imagination!
