Marinating/Preparing Beef?!

Question: Marinating/Preparing Beef?
I just took the beef out of the fridge and it was saran wrapped.
There's blood on the beef.. do I wash that off before marinating?

It sounds like a dumb question, sorry :l

Answers:

Yes you can give it a quick rinse.

There is also plenty of blood inside of raw beef. Don't worry about it. Put it in a gallon baggie with your marinade while it thaws. Next time, put it in a gallon freezer bag with the marinade before you toss it in the freezer. It will be ready to go when you want to cook it.

First of all its not blood - its water content that the meat is excreting

You can or you can't won't matter either way

Hard to say whats the correct way to prepare as I have no idea what cut of meat you have in the first place

No. That blood came from inside the beef, and there's plenty more where it came from. Just make sure you cook it properly after marinating.

wow you should take a basic cooking class at a near by college or trade school. im suprised you even know what marinating is!

I Would- wash and dry it then marinate it.
