grits is the southern US equivalent of polenta. Both are made from ground corn.
Biscuits are similar to scones and are pretty basic, flour, a fat source,a leavening and a liquid with some salt.
Gravy is ....well, you must know what gravy is. The gravy is meat based sauce used on biscuits is generally made with breakfast sausage in it.



grits is made from cornmeal

biscuits and gravy are made from flour butter/margarin, baking powder, cream/milk, and usually sausage
