What would be a good substitute for cod?!

Question: What would be a good substitute for cod?
I don't understand the descriptions of "delicate texture" on various websites.

I like the mild flavour of cod, and with regards to texture, I like the fact that it's so smooth and when you press a fork into it, it comes away in v-shaped sections.

Any suggestions as to what fish I can buy that is similar to cod? (I couldn't find cod at the supermarket :( )

Answers:

In the recipe you mentioned flounder might be a good sub.
