Seasoned flour question?!

Question: Seasoned flour question?
I have a fabulous recipe for oven baked chicken, and I make a seasoned flour for it. There is always so much left over, and I usually throw it out, as I am dunking raw chicken in it, and I only make this once a month or so. I heard you can reuse the flour but I am squeamish about it. It is in fact true or is it best to throw it out?

Answers:

Dealing with raw chicken, i would throw it out, its better to be safe than sorry! i have to do the same thing,(toss it) i make my own seasoned flour too....ok, brain storm just hit! lol, ...make your normal seasoned flour as usual, and put a little in a bowl or bag at a time,to coat your chicken.... and what you don't use,(The flour that chicken hasn't touched) seal & put in the refrigerator for next time.

Could the flour be used for gravy? I've done that or for thickening soups or stews. Because the flour was used with raw meat, I would keep it in the fridge, but only for a week to be on the safe side.

Another idea is to make the batch of seasoned flour, then pour out what you need to make the oven baked chicken.

The rest is not exposed to raw meat, then should not be a problem to reuse it much later.

You can reuse the flour but there are health risks involved. I am hesitnt to throw flour in the trssh dure to weevils.
what you can do is to make up the seasoned flour. Try using only half of it or 2/3 of it. Add more if necessary. The unused portioned can be thrown in the freeze ready for the next use.

toss. dealing with raw animal meat is risky. there would be disgusting maggots so i would say toss out. happy cooking~!
help me? if you know sees candys

Never save flour that has had raw meat dipped in it....It will have bacteria in it the next time and it might not hurt you..but it isn't something you want to find out......................

trow it out it will create vermin (maggots) make a little less if you need more you can always add to it ,but do not keep it.
