Looking for a simple taco recipe?!

Question: Looking for a simple taco recipe?
I'm un-experienced in the kitchen and i'd like to suprise my mom with taco's. However I have a limited amount of ingredients. I don't have any beef, so i'm thinking of using ground turkey. If you could give me a few recipes that would be great![: I also have a brother, who's really picky so kid-friendly please. Thanks!

You will need the following............

Meat
lettuce
tomatoes
cheese
onions [optional]
Taco seasoning...
Tortillas [corn]

Brown meat in a skillet and add taco seasoning as per package directions...In another pan put 1/4 cup oil and fry tortillas for about 2 minutes per side and then place them on a plate covered with a few paper towels to soak up the oil.............

Assemble tacos with meat cheese lettuce and tomatoes and onion....

Enjoy..........

.Things You'll Need:
1 large tomato ? head of lettuce 1 (12 oz.) block cheddar cheese 1? lbs. ground turkey Large skillet Spatula 1 packet taco seasoning 6-8 taco shells
1Rinse and dice the tomato into small pieces, and finely chop the lettuce. Shred 2 cups of cheddar cheese, and set aside for later use.

2Place the ground turkey into a large skillet, and use a spatula to break it into small pieces. Cook the turkey over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until browned all the way through. Drain any excess fat.

3Add the taco seasoning and ? cup water to the skillet and mix well. Simmer the ground turkey mixture for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until all of the water has evaporated.

4Fill the taco shells with the ground turkey. Top the meat with shredded cheese followed by the tomato and lettuce. Serve immediately while hot

Sour cream, guacamole or salsa can be added to the ground turkey tacos to add more flavor and substance. Using low-carb tortillas will result in ground turkey tacos which are suitable for low-carb dieters. Excess ground turkey can be refrigerated in an air-tight container and saved for use in other recipes that call for ground turkey or beef..

I dont know if you have "taco seasoning", if so you just add it to the meat

this is a quick recipe with ground turkey for tacos...not a strong flavour but is good

Ingredients:

* 2 tsp. olive, canola, or vegetable oil
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 or 2 fresh green chiles, like jalape?os, finely chopped (seeds removed if you want the dish to be less spicy)
* 1 tsp. ground cumin
* 1/4 tsp. cayenne
* 1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey (extra lean works but will be quite dry)
* 1/2 tsp. salt
* 1/4 cup minced cilantro
* 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
* 8 white corn tortillas or taco shells
* Salsa
* Guacamole
* Spring mix lettuce or other tender greens
* Cheese and/or sour cream (optional)

Preparation:

1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and chiles. Cook, stirring, until fragrant and soft, about 2 minutes. Add cumin and cayenne and stir to combine until spices sizzle, about 30 seconds. Add turkey and salt. Stir to combine and break up meat with the back of the spoon or spatula.
2. Cook, stirring occasionally, until turkey is cooked through.
3. When meat is cooked, take off heat and stir in cilantro and lime juice.
4. Heat tortillas and top each one with some ground turkey, salsa, guacamole, and lettuce (or fill each taco shell). Add sour cream

ground turkey
your choice for veggies and cheese
sour cream, salsa, taco sauce, guacamole, or any other toppings you want

brown the ground turkey in a skillet or even in the microwave
drain, and add some taco seasoning, and mix well

then i usually have the veggies and toppings sitting there for everyone to make their own
just take some meat, put in the bottom of the taco shell or in the tortilla, then top it with cheese, veggies, toppings, and either wrap the tortilla, or eat the taco shell

ground beef, lettuce , cheese, sour cream , taco sauce, taco seasoning , tomatoes, and onions

Buy taco shells and the instructions are in the back :D

go to a grocery store and u can buy all the stuuf you need already in a box,,just add meat,,good luck

I'd go with a Pork Meat instead of Beef , for the flavor and tang it has!
