How should I marinate and cook bone in pork chops?!

Question: How should I marinate and cook bone in pork chops?
I have 4 pork chops and I am cooking them for my Parents as a surprise.! It needs to be great so I need a nice marinate and I was thinking mashed potatoes and some mixed veggies and a small salad. What do you think?

Answers:

If you have nice pork chops, it is really not necessary to marinate it. Yours have bones on, so it can stay nice and moist. You can marinate the pork in olive oil and smoked paprika if you wish.

As for mashed potatoes, it is nice. If you want to make it slightly different, use sweet potatoes. Pork and sweet potatoes go brilliantly well. (Smoked paprika and pork is a nice combination too.)

As for herbs, use sage and others like thyme.

my family's favorite universal marinade... we use this on everything, and its amazing.

3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup (about 1 small, or half a medium) chopped onion
3 tablespoons worchester sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon dried parsley
=======================
put this all in a blender and blend into a paste
then put the pork chops into a zip lock bag or container, and pour this over top
let it marinade at least a few hours... overnight is the best

it would be best to grill your pork chops, but if not possible, you can stick them under your broiler until they are nice and brown on both sides, and cooked through.... or more complex, you can brown them in a skillet and then finish them in the oven.

worcestershire or worchester sauce
some crushed garlic
hint of tabasco
salt & pepper
a little BBQ
olive oil
