Why don't people realize that pet overpopulation and hunger are the same issue with the same solutions!?!

Question: Why don't people realize that pet overpopulation and hunger are the same issue with the same solutions!?
The Humane Society says that four million cats and dogs—about one every eight seconds—are put down in U.S. shelters each year. At the same time, millions of people go hungry. I think the solution is obvious, don't you?

Answers:

I think your 'suggestion' is twisted! I also hope the people who agree with you are misunderstanding your question! NO!!!!!! Cats and dogs should NOT be used for food! They are pets, the Humane Society is a shelter, not a farm! Just sick!

I agree.Except for licensed breeders it should be against the law to have a dog or cat that hasn't been neutered.A large portion of the food supply is for pet food and a great sum of money is spent on it.

I think you don't know the difference between pets and farm animals. There are plenty of places where pets are eaten. Go there. In the mean time get your pets spayed or neutered.

yes it bugs me aswell
