How many basil leaves is....?!

Question: How many basil leaves is....?
Ok, so I have a tomato soup recipe that calls for 12-14 fresh basil leaves. How many tsp/tbsp of chopped fresh basil is that? Because I'm using dry basil, and I need to know how many tsp/tbsp of fresh it is, so then I can divide THAT number by 3 because you're supposed to use 1/3 the amount of dry as you do fresh.
SO, if you want you could amazing and give me the amount of dry I need, but all I really need is an estimate of how many tsp or tbsp of fresh basil would equate to 12-14 basil leaves. I can do the rest myself :) Thanks so much!

Answers:

12-14 fresh basil leaves would give you about 2 tablespoons chopped which would be 2 teaspoons dried.

You really can;t compare the two, Fresh is so much tastier and makes a far better soup.
