What and how did she turn a simple sour/Dill Pickle?!
into a snappy sweet pickle? Remembering back some 50 plus years ago, I remember a family member taking a sour/dill pickle patting it dry and covering it with lots of sugar and letting it absorb it's sweetness. The results were a sweet snappy sweet pickle. Anyone know the proper process to reproduce this process?
Answers:
This process has been around for many years ...basically drain the juice from a jar of dill pickles cover with sugar put lid back on securely, shake jar well ,leave in refrigerator for a few days shake jar every day and add a little more sugar the sugar will make the pickles crisp and sweet For recipes go to cooks.com and type in sweet dill pickles they have several recipes
