What can I substitute for eggs in a cookie recipe? 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER?!?!

Question: What can I substitute for eggs in a cookie recipe? 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER?!?
I have a betty crocker cookie mix that calls for butter and one large egg. However I don't have any eggs and my substitutes are limited. I don't have "flax seed" or any bananas. So can I substitute extra virgin olive oil for the eggs instead? Or can I substitute vegetable oil for the eggs?

Not really, if you want them to come out right. You can substitute up to ONE HALF of the Oil with Applesauce in some recipes, like cakes, but you really can't leave out the egg in a recipe that calls for it.

Good Luck.

(In the future, when you buy a mix like this, be sure to turn it over and see what other ingredients you need to co-purchase in order to prepare the product.)

You need something that will help bind the ingredients together. I think oil would work, but I'm not sure how much you should substitute.

Apple Sauce

Peanut Butter

Virgin olive oil. Or milk

a couple tbsp of apple sauce should do the trick
