Any Pizza Suggestions?!

Question: Any Pizza Suggestions?
I make wood fire pizzas and need some help finding good toppings to go on my pizzas...

Answers:

My favorite two pizza's I make at home:

VEGGIE:
I top crust with olive oil. I then rub fresh garlic on top. Top with: Chop canned artichoke hearts, sliced mushrooms, roasted corn (put in fry pan with olive oil and chopped sweet onion till corn starts to brown) and spinach that I saute first in olive oil, fresh garlic and red pepper flakes. Add some goat cheese. (you could also add chopped tomato or any other veggie you like)

Mexican pizza:

Brush crust with olive oil. sprinkle black beans, pico, roasted corn (same as above). Even though it's in pico I sometimes add more cilantro. Squeeze lime over top. YUM. You could add shredded chicken but I don't. I like to had jalapeno's sometimes too for a little heat.

Yum!

I had a terrific pizza recently. It had crumbled Italian sausage (cooked); chopped red, green, and yellow peppers, a really good tomato pizza sauce, mozarella and provolone cheese. I think it also had red onion and would probably be good with some olives.

I used to make one that everyone liked. It was portabello mushrooms, chopped fresh parsley and mint leaves, fontina cheese, olive oil, and cloves of roasted garlic.

Shrimp with Pesto Sauce and shredded cheese, fresh spinach, and creamy ricotta..

In Italy, they put thinly sliced potatoes and rosemary on top of a sort of white sauce.

One of my favorites on a little street near my apartment in Florence was to make a pizza sandwich with two varieties. One was a pizza crust that had a thick layer of a delicious tomato sauce and slices of buffalo milk mozarella. I would slap it together with a type with a thicker crust that had been brushed with olive oil and salted. They pressed big, pitted green olives into the crust before baking. Gee, I miss that! Thanks for the opportunity to reminisce.

One they made in Italy that I didn't think I would like, but ended up loving, included tuna. If you can find Italian Tuna in your grocery store, it's usually oil packed and delicious. It had onions and mushroom, but I can't recall the sauce.

I've never made a wood fire pizza. But I do make pizza. One of my favorites is a roasted garlic pesto instead of the normal marinara type sauce. I use a very thin crust and top it with spinach, tomato and fresh mozzarella.

Not necessarily answering you question, have you seen this site:

If you mean suppliers, I would suggest shopping locally in butcher shops and deli's. If you live in a city, go to ethnic community centers and Sherlock Holmes your suppliers there.

olive oli, cheese blend (whatever you like). roasted garlic, then when it comes out of the over top it with watercress. and a splash of olive oil.

Studying food science and empashis in culinary science, used to work for pizza place.

Here's something I've never seen and would love to try...I love wood fire pizza, and I love white pizza. Try a white pizza with spinach, tomato, and ricotta...wood fired. should be good with the charcoaled crust.

Black forest ham and pineapple? Bacon, ham and sausage? Spam and pineapple? Pepperoni, bacon, black olives... Let me know how it works out...My mouth is watering.
