Question: I need to make 6 dozen peanut butter blossom cookies tomorrow so can I make the dough tonight??

I would prepare the dough then put it in a sealed Tupperware container. Would they still come out as good as they would if I prepared the dough then baked them immediately???

Answers:

Absolutely your cookie dough can be made the night before. Just refrigerate it overnight. In fact, you'll find the cookies bake better and taste better if you DO let the dough sit.
I learned this trick when I worked in a bakery.
Another trick--make a double batch of dough. Bake batch one tomorrow, and freeze the other batch in the size of the cookies you bake. When you want more, they're already sized out to bake.
