Dawn, that's simple, dates back yonks. Make your chicken soup as normal, make like a pesto with your basil, and add it before you turn the burner off. Don't worry about the color, so what if it's green chicken soup, but you will surely get the basil flavor you want.
Cut up the chicken breast into bitesize pieces, cook it with the noodles and rice then sprinkle basil on top, and maybe some lemon juice for added flavour? :') Easy.
EDIT: Uhm I'm not sure.. you could buy some more if it's not too late where you live or just add other things instead like ground pepper to give it more taste? that's what I'd do anyway =)
