I have a butter recipe cake mix, but i only have tub butter, not stick...?!

Question: I have a butter recipe cake mix, but i only have tub butter, not stick...?
Will it work?

Answers:

As long as you use the amount as stated in the recipe, it will work just the same!

To those who imagine that tub butter tastes better than stick butter, my sympathies to your families. Tub butter is whipped, therefore air is incorporated. So cup for cup you are getting less product (more air) than the stick type butter and paying a premium for that privilege.

If you aren't happy with your butter, buy a different type. I buy Irish style butter, cleaner tasting than American butter, and always buy sweet (unsalted) butter for baking.

I always use tub butter in my butter recipe cakes! It tastes so much better than the stick butter!

definetly! use the same amount though. i actually think tub butter tastes better in a cake :)

Yea of course as long as you use the same procedure for it.
