How to make toast?? Please help?!

Question: How to make toast?? Please help?
I really want to make and eat toast, I never have successfully before. I put the toast to cook and when I smelt the smoke I poured a can of baked beans in and poked it around with a fork but it didn't work. Maybe I should start with something simpler, please help me out with a step by step guide.

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Sliced bread
* Toaster or toaster oven
* Butter knife
* A spread: butter, margarine, jelly, apple butter, peanut butter
1

Get two slices of bread.
2

Place the slices into a toaster or a toaster oven
3

Remove slices once the bread has browned. Many toasters have a preset timer that you can adjust depending on how brown you want your bread to be.
4

Choose a spread. You can use only one spread or use multiple spreads. This all depends on your preference.
5

Take a butter knife and scoop up a spread. Smear the spread across the bread. If you would like the spread warm and melted, smear the spread while the bread is still warm. If you would like your spread to be chilled or at room temperature, smear the spread once the bread has cooled.
6

Eat the toast by biting into it while holding it with your fingers. You can also cut it into little squares to be eaten as a small finger food.

Tips & Warnings

*
Do feel free to experiment with a variety of breads and spreads. Remember, the two slices do not have to be the same bread or spread.
*
Warm beverages such as coffee or hot chocolate are perfect additions to toast.
*
Don't let your bread turn black. This means it has burned and the taste will be altered.

Just keep it in the toaster for a lil bit, then if it needs to be cooked some more just put it in the toaster for a lil bit longer, and makin toast doesnt involve baked beans. Unless you like baked beans on your toast, whatever floats your boat man. And try to remember how long you had your toast in there, so next time you wanna make toast you can just set it on that time.

Personal experience, i had to teach myself preety much everything growing up

Lol, you are joking rite. Okay let's start here you have a toaster I asume. you put your sliced bread in push the toaster button thing down it will toast there is a ajustment thing on your toaster if ya want it darker or lighter, take your choice it will pop up when done if it's over cooking and burning just pop the push button thing up to stop it from cooking more. Lol. Let's say you don't have a toaster, no prob, just get a coat hanger metal without paint on it bend it up in a way that it can hold a slce a bread balanced on top put to stove top burner on doesn't matter gas or electric and toast over the burner until browned like you like then do the other side til done

I've made toast

First you need "bread" not toast to make toast, write that down,... Ingred. ''Bread""
.
Step 2, you have to know the history of toast before you attempt something like that.
-The Caveman was the first human to make toast when he discovered fire. He accidentally set his bread on fire and the first toast was made. His wife not being so impressed with his bar- b- qing technique ,tossed this charred attempt. She then made a pointy stick to impale the bread upon. This was used for many a year until the elec toaster was invented by someone who had no stick.

Step 3. Id advise you now purchase a very large and expensive cook book detailing the preparation of said toast because it is too complicated to explain here in such a short amt of space.
I hope this helps with your wonderful exporation of toasting.
