Thawing frozen meat sauce...what to do?!

Question: Thawing frozen meat sauce...what to do?
I made some spaghetti meatsauce yesterday and put it in the freezer ina sealed-tight container.
Just put it on the oven w/ a little bit of oil but it's taking forever.... and it's also really hard... is there something I should add to these (more sauce?, water -though i dont want it to lose favor). I am trying to break it up but it's so very hard...what to do. Please tell me quickly!!!

Answers:

stove top in a pan turn on- med high -it is like melting ice so you need to try to brake it up the best way you can

Microwave defrosting works. Or, put the sealed container in a large dish or sink of hot water and keep changing it as it cools. Or, put the frozen sauce with a little bit of water in a saucepan over low heat, covered. As the edges soften, break them off so the insie is exposed. If you can safely cut the large chunk up with a knife or cleaver, the smaller peices will melt down faster.

If you can wait a few more days, just put in the fridge to thaw out. That's your best option.

Or...transfer the meat sauce to a ziploc baggie. Close it tight. Stop up your sink and fill your sink with HOT water. Place the baggie in the sink that has the hot water and let it soak for a while.

Or you can also try the defrost option on the microwave.

run the sealed container under hot water or remove top and microwave for one minute - then pop the frozen sauce out of the plastic and into a pot. add a bit of water on cook on a low to medium heat. help it along by stirring and breaking it apart with a fork as it softens.

fastest way is hot water, keep scalding hot water running over it for about 3 minutes, then let it soak in a bowl of extremely hot water, 5 min. tops it will un thaw. Spagetti sounds good right now :)

Just put it in a plastic bag and fill up the sink with hot water and it will thaw in a half an hour

I usually heat up the frozen sauce in some more sauce.

Nuke it. Set microwave to defrost and have at it.

Can you microwave it?
