I want to make a melt with flatbread. Help?!

Question: I want to make a melt with flatbread. Help?
I have steak that I plan to cut into strips, and cheddar cheese. I also have some chopped onions I plan on putting on it. Would this be good? What else can I add to that?

Answers:

Yummm....I would caramelize the onions, then toss in the steak strips to heat. Do you have some horseradish? I think a little bit spread on the flatbread first, heated under the broiled just to get some char flavor to the bread, then topped with the onion, steak and cheese - under the broiler again just to melt the cheese. I'm coming to your house for dinner!

Instead of the horseradish, how about some roasted garlic spread on the bread!? That would be delicious, I think.

chopped onions, mushrooms, and peppers

Meat and cheese- never ever ever do that.

I would use the Swiss.
