Cooked Shrimp vs Un-cooked Shrimp?!
Basically, and generally speaking, how long does it take to cook raw shrimp and how long does it take to cook precooked shrimp? I would assume it takes less time for the pre-cooked to cook?
Answers:
You are right, the uncooked shrimp should never take more than 5 minutes total... and as far as the pre cooked shrimp goes, save that for shrimp cocktail... rinse and dunk in a little sauce. cooking with pre cooked shrimp is dangerous because over cooked shrimp sucks... it gets rubbery and tasteless. I mean if you HAVE to use it in a recipe, you add it just before serving just to warm it a bit and that's it.
Raw shrimp will give off a lot more shrimp flavor to your meal and it's always a little bit cheaper. More work to peal but worth it!

Basically it takes exactly ZERO minutes to cook pre-cooked shrimp. It's PRE-cooked, get it? All you have to do, if you want to eat them hot, is to heat them up to serving temperature, which should only take seconds (certainly less than 30 seconds). Pre-cooked shrimp are perfectly fine to eat cold, too.
precooked shrimp do not need to be cooked at all; they are precooked.
You only need to heat them through, very carefully or you get rubber shrimp.
If it's already cooked, you just heat it through. It is not as good quality as fresh cooked though.
Cooked shrimp takes 5 mins ITS DELICIOUS
