Is it okay to keep chicken breast in the freezer ?!

Question: Is it okay to keep chicken breast in the freezer ?
I bought chicken breast pieces 3 days ago and the expire date is after 2 days. I still have many more stuff to cook before using the chicken so I thought maybe I could keep in the freezer.

It's wrapped with plastic and never opened yet. I kept in fridge. Now I'm thinking of moving it to the freezer. How long could I keep it for ? A week ?

Answers:

My mother is a chef, she keeps chicken in the freezer. She buys meats and other products buy the balk a month sometimes two months before she uses it. Its always good still

My mom

yes because the bacteria doesnt grow on it when its in the freezer.
basically the bacteria "freezes" with it.

at my house we keep out meat in the freezer for forever.
we have 3 things of chicken breasts & thighs as well that have been there for a few months.

You are not clear.
If it is to expire in two day yes you can freeze it and it will last up to 3 months.
If it expired before then, cook and eat or freeze.

Go for it, and as long as its frozen you can keep it up to a year. Of course it always tastes better fresh, but freezing it won't bring any harm to your health.

You should have putty in the freezer when you got home
