Any idea for a cheap dinner?!

Question: Any idea for a cheap dinner?
I've invited some of my friends but noticed my pockets aren't that deep. Do you have some ideas?

Answers:

My recommendation: whole chicken.
It's cheap and always a good choice. Google for some recipes, there are tons of it.

If you prefer other kinds of meat have a stop at your grocery store and look what they have on sale. There's usually at least one kind of meat having a massive discount.

Crock Pot Chili With Ground Beef

* 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
* 1 16oz. can stewed tomatoes
* 1 large and 1 small can of chili beans ( I prefer the Hunt’s Chili Beans)
* Dash of salt, pepper and chili powder to taste

Meal Preparation Directions:

1. Brown ground beef, drain
2. Add ground beef, stewed tomatoes and chili beans to crockpot
3. Add spices to your taste

Meal Assembly:
Cook on low for 3 -5 hours. The longer you simmer, the thicker and better it is.

My very own recipe, I call this the lazy mans lasagna.

Make some KD, but for every box of noodles you cook, steal a cheese packet from another box (keep or toss the noodles without cheese). Add the double cheese packets into the cooked noodles with a little bit of butter, only add a small splash of milk, or no milk at all.

Cook up some hamburger using chili powder and sea salt for seasoing

Mix KD and meat, throw into a big pan, top with 300 pounds of cheese (a base of full fat mozza topped with sharp cheddar is my fave)

Broil until browned.

Cheap and delicious!

chicken Caesar salad is a classic dish and can be prepared at home in less than half an hour for a few dollars. Pan-fry boneless chicken in butter or oil and season with salt and herbs. Clean and chop some romaine lettuce and toss with Caesar dressing, croutons and pepper. Add some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a squirt of lemon juice. Top with the sliced, cooked chicken. You can spice it up with bit of jalapeno pepper.

I'd suggest beans and rice.
If you use dry beans, soaked early enough, since they are cheaper than canned.

Add a bottle of wine which costs under 6 bucks and you are ready to go.
